FAQs

1. Why doesn’t moissanite pass a diamond tester pen?

Answer: Moissanite doesn't pass a diamond tester pen because diamond testers typically measure thermal conductivity. Moissanite has a higher thermal conductivity than diamonds, so while both stones are heat-conductive, diamond testers are calibrated specifically for diamonds and may not recognize moissanite as a valid diamond. This is why moissanite stones often register as non-diamonds when tested with a diamond tester pen.

2. Does this mean moissanite is not a valuable gemstone?

Answer: No, moissanite is still a valuable gemstone. While it may not pass a diamond tester, moissanite is a high-quality, beautiful stone with its own unique qualities, such as brilliance and fire that often surpass those of diamonds. Its value lies in its rarity, appearance, and durability, and it has become a popular alternative to diamonds in jewelry.

3. What is the material of your jewellery?

Answer: Our silver pieces are anti-tarnish materials like S925 and PT950. For the gold pieces, they are 14K, 18K or 24K gold plated.

4. What causes jewellery to tarnish?

Answer: Jewellery tarnishes when it reacts with moisture, air, or chemicals, causing the metal to oxidize. Factors such as exposure to sweat, perfumes, lotions, household cleaners, or even the natural oils on your skin can lead to tarnishing.

5. How can I prevent my jewellery from tarnishing?

Answer: To prevent tarnishing, store your jewellery in a cool, dry place, preferably in a tarnish-resistant pouch or box. Avoid exposing your jewellery to chemicals, perfumes, and lotions, and remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or exercising. Regularly cleaning your jewelry with a soft cloth can also help reduce tarnish buildup.

6. How do I determine my ring size?

Answer: To determine your ring size, measure the circumference of your finger using a flexible tape measure or a string, then compare it to a ring size chart. Keep in mind that finger sizes can change with temperature or time of day, so measure when your hands are at a normal, relaxed state.
